I love to write.
I’m writing a novel about Agent Echo, a female assassin living in a small town in Montana.
I live in a small town. Bigfork, Montana. It’s actually an unincorporated village. Bigfork is where Flathead Lake begins.
It is an easy place to live. We don’t leave in the summer because it is the best place to be.
I concoct delicious pies, stories, photos, and adventures.
I am a Legacy LEED AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional). I work as a Technical Writer on green building projects for Kath Williams + Associates.
I am a Concoctress. I am a Creator.
My children are my favorite people EVER. My husband knows this. He’s okay with it.
My husband and I have jumped out of planes together, gone scuba diving with stingrays in Belize, and kayaked around Flathead Lake (a 6-day trip). We’re adventurers. We’ve done more, but I’ve been sworn to secrecy.
We have Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, two of them, a father, and his daughter.
I am Jana from Montana, and I’m proud of it.
I’ve lived in many other places – Boulder, CO, Rock Island, IL, Carbondale, IL, Missoula, Montana (my favorite), Chicago, IL, Boston, MA, Flagstaff, AZ, Denver, CO, Atherton, CA, New York, NY, Avalon, Mona Vale, & Newport Beach NSW, Australia, Mullumbimby, Australia (also a favorite), Whitefish, MT, Lahaina, & Napili, Maui, Hawaii.
I’m living in my Forty-first house. I should probably write a book on moving.
I love to ski, to kayak, to camp, to sit on our boat out on the lake reading a book in the sun, to dance, to bake pies (especially fresh fruit pies), cookies, and cinnamon rolls, to listen to music really loud while singing and dancing with my daughters (we do this in the car too). I love to make salads from veggies we grow in our garden (my friend Mike calls them Jana Salad, as in “Can you make me a Jana Salad?) I knit and hike, but not as much as I should, or as I’d like to.
I am a writer, a creator, an adventurer, and a mom.

Great intro! Energetic, wide-ranging but methodical, funny and charming. I really look forward to reading more.
